High in the mountains of El Salvador at more than 1,450 metres above sea level sits Las Brumas farm, just outside the city of Santa Ana. Up here, the air is cooler, the pace is slower, and the coffee cherry takes its time. Trees grow more gradually at this altitude, absorbing greater levels of nutrients and developing a depth of sweetness that lower-grown beans simply cannot replicate.

The outcome, as Jewel Coffee discovered when we first sourced from Las Brumas, is nothing short of extraordinary. El Salvador is the coffee for people who think they don't love coffee and for those who very much do.

At a gentle intensity of 7, the cup opens with delicate nougat and honey sweetness, builds through a soft toffee mid-note, and finishes clean and bright. No bitterness. No harshness. Just a beautifully elegant, naturally sweet espresso.
